GOALS
Throughout the year teachers will plan activities that provide the children in the Toddler Class with opportunities to:
- Learn about God’s love through prayer and stories and songs of faith.
- Grow in their awareness of God’s good creation through hearing stories and witnessing the world around them.
- Develop friendships, good communication skills and an understanding of good manners.
- Develop large muscles through experiences that allow children to run, gallop, hop, balance, march, play instruments and move to music.
- Develop small muscles through experiences that encourage the children to draw, paste, paint, work puzzles and work with manipulatives.
- Count (from 1 to 10) and learn shapes.
- Care for their bodies through events that help children develop good health habits such as washing hands, using a tissue, brushing teeth, eating a healthy diet and exercising.
